A spray booth, sometimes referred to as a paint spray booth, is a custom-built enclosure intended to facilitate spray painting tasks while effectively containing and eliminating overspray and vapor generated during the application process. With our newly remodeled & updated spray booth, we can achieve the highest quality finishes with our full climate controlled, heated booth so we can operate year round. A paint booth is a large, contained environment equipped with exhaust fans and filters to make commercial spray painting safer and cleaner. It improves results by altering air pressure to blow contaminants out of the container and clear out overspray from the paint sprayers. As it does this, fresh, clean air is consistently pushed into the booth. Our spray booth system has a professional approved ventilation / filtration system, our booth has an independent heating system which is located in another room, our supplies and mixing room is adjacent to the booth, with all new LED sealed lighting and behind the booth is a heating drying room for previously sprayed products to dry.

Types of Colors & Styles:

Standard Paints and Stains

Artisan Wood Work's Cabinetry's standard paint and stain collection of finishes are available on any of our door styles, so it is easier to match the finish you like to the door style of your choice. Each finish is carefully developed by our finish experts to enhance the beauty of the wood and capitalize on the latest trends. Our standard paints and stains are available with most traditional glazes, highlight glazes and the Aged Technique.

Aged Technique

The Aged Technique is a predetermined selection of numerous finish techniques to create a worn and aged appearance. The techniques possible are: worm holing, edge and panel gouging, wearing, and rock dents. The level of “Aging” is very random and inconsistent from piece to piece. The Aged Technique can be applied to all wood species (excluding Select Poplar) and on any stain or paint color.

Glazes and Highlights

We have two variations of glazing available for our stained and painted finishes. You can choose from a traditional glaze or a highlight. With a traditional glaze or just ‘glaze’ for short, the component is flooded with the glaze material and then hand-wiped, leaving behind a noticeable amount of material in various profiles. With our highlight, the material is also flooded onto the component, then hand-wiped more completely, leaving a subtle amount of material behind in the various profiles. These hand-wiped finishes will have variation in the amount of material retained from piece to piece and within the same piece. Variation in consistency is normal and should be expected. Choose from several colors in both glaze and highlight.

Custom Paint Program

The Artisan Wood Work's custom paint program is designed to allow customers the freedom to choose any paint color imaginable. Artisan Wood Work's offers nearly all the colors that Sherwin-Williams has available in their color palette. Color options can be viewed at any Sherwin-Williams store location. Just pick a Sherwin-Williams color and provide the color code (Ex. SW6671) to begin the process.

All custom paint orders require ordering a color sample and then approving that sample,

prior to placing an order. As a result, you can expect the process to take a few more weeks than a standard color selection.

Most custom paint colors are also available with our standard glaze and highlight options.

Olde World Collection

The Olde World finish collection replicates the look of significantly worn, painted cabinetry. These finishes feature worm holing, edge and panel gouging, glazing, wearing, dry brush glazing, rock dents, paint crackle, water spotting and a brown undertone. All parts of the cabinetry will receive some, or all, of the techniques applied. Due to the number of processes and hand-applied techniques, slight variation in samples and kitchens is possible.

Weathered Collection

The Weathered Collection of finishes feature a predetermined selection of numerous finish techniques to create the extremely worn and aged appearance in this custom finish. The Weathered finish is available only as seven specific color/wood options. The techniques included are: worm holing, edge and panel gouging, wearing, dry brush glazing, rock dents, fly-specking and black highlight (modifications not available). This is a hand-applied finish. Visit a retailer for more information on our Weathered Collection.
